When a dog is wearing a tag and gets lost, it's much easier to find its owner!
According to By-Law no. 280, you are required to register your dog(s) with the municipality.
Attach the tag issued by the municipality to your dog's collar.
Tags are available at the municipal office, and the cost of registration is $20 per dog per year. The fees are automatically added to your municipal tax account.
A maximum of two (2) dogs per household is permitted within the limits of the Village of Hemmingford.
For wild animals, such as raccoons, skunks or foxes, that appear disoriented, abnormally aggressive or paralyzed, please call Service Québec at: 1-877-644-4545 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monitoring of wild animals, in particular raccoons, is essential to track the progression of rabies in southern Quebec. In the event of exposure to a potentially infected animal, contact the Info-Santé service at 811.
